The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), in collaboration with INECO, has established the Observatorio para la Inteligencia Artificial y la Diversidad (Diversity and Artificial Intelligence Think Tank), a groundbreaking initiative in the field of artificial intelligence with a strong emphasis on inclusion and equity. This space seeks to identify and understand the perceptions, concerns, and proposals of associations and groups working in areas such as gender equality, disability inclusion, the LGBTQI community, and other marginalized groups, with the aim of detecting biases that may emerge in the development and implementation of AI technologies.

By incorporating these diverse perspectives, the Think Tank strives to advance fairness in AI creation and usage, fostering a more inclusive approach that prevents the reproduction or amplification of existing inequalities. Through partnerships with organizations specializing in diversity and human rights, the Think Tank serves as a vital resource for developing recommendations and guidelines to assist both developers and policymakers in designing AI systems that benefit society as a whole. The Observatory will maintain an up-to-date monitoring of trends, reports, surveys, and sectoral studies, addressing both the uses and challenges of artificial intelligence in the general population.
